The French Liver Biobank Network is managed by a scientific advisory board, an executive board and a steering Committee.

The steering committee brings together representatives from each participating centers, members of the Executive Board, and representatives from the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and the National Cancer Institute (INCa).

Its responsibilities include:

  • network strategy
  • general management and operating procedures
  • financial, ethical and regulatory issues
  • selection of internal and external projects
  • membership from new centers
  • prevention of potential conflicts of interest

The steering committee meets biannually and appoints the members of the Executive Board, the coordinator, and the deputy coordinator for a four-year terms.

The Board oversees day-to-day operations, supports participating centers, ensures quality assurance procedures are properly followed and continuously improved, and monitors compliance with certification standards. It also reviews both internal and external requests.
Board members meet monthly via video conference.

Supported by a Project Manager, a Scientific Advisor, and a Clinical Research Associate, the executive board oversees administrative tasks and daily operations, manages the network’s budget, and interacts with key stakeholders : network members, biological sample users and partner institutions.
